Our Vision
Dr Scott Macrossan graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1991 with a Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery.
Scott began his career at Calvary Hospital Hobart where he established their Emergency Department and remained there for 14 years as Chief Medical Officer. He actively practiced medicine in the Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department and provided medical administrative support.
Scott changed career direction, undertook the specialist General Practice training program and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
He has worked as a GP in Battery Point for the past 18 years.
He has always had a vision of owning his own General Practice in order that he may provide an exceptional level of care to his patients in a beautiful environment.
The opportunity to open Battery Point Medical in the 1885 Henry Hunter "GATTONSIDE" has allowed this vision to materialise.
Our hope is that we can provide you with a truly exceptional level of care and look forward to you feeling an open warmth that speaks more of family than medical practice.
